A big anti-tourism movement is rising in the Canary Islands, one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations.

🚩 **Number 4: Venice**
Hostility ranking: 7/10
In April 2024, Venice started charging 5 Euros to visit the city. Locals regularly protest against tourism, too.

🚩 **Number 3: Amsterdam**
Hostility ranking: 7/10
The anti-tourism sentiment here isn’t just from protesters but also from city authorities, especially against British party tourists.

🚩 **Number 2: Barcelona**
Hostility ranking: 8/10
For years, locals have been protesting, demanding affordable housing. The mayor even plans to eliminate all short-term rentals by 2029.

🚩 **Number 1: Majorca**
With the most regular anti-tourism protests in Europe, Majorca tops the list as the least welcoming destination for tourists in 2024.
